Is Your Child Turning Seven? It’s Time to Take Him to an Orthodontist

Having misaligned teeth as an adult can have many negative consequences. It can mean loss of self-esteem, lost job opportunities, and less happiness with life overall due to one’s self-consciousness about your smile. Early orthodontics can prevent this. If your child is at least seven years old, consider consulting an orthodontist about their smile.

When’s the right time?

Once a child’s first baby teeth sprout, it’s time to take them to a dentist so they can be comfortable about the process, and you can gain tips on their oral hygiene as a parent. Once they turn seven years old, however, the American Association (AOA) recommends that you take them to their first orthodontist visit as well.
